Anyone and everyone is welcome to join the York Simcoe Amateur Astronomers Club.
It is not required that you own a telescope or binoculars, just that you have an interest in the night sky.

  • The membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st.
  • Members joining throughout the year will be given a pro-rated fee.
  • Membership cost $30.00 per individual.
  • If you sign-up for a family (spouse and children) membership the cost is the same, $30.00.

Benefits of Membership:

  • Relatively dark observing sites within an hour of Newmarket, ON.
  • Use of the club telescope. An 8″ reflector on a dobsonian mount.
  • The chance to meet other amateur astronomers in the area. This provides an opportunity to
    share knowledge and learn from each other.
  • Friendly and informal meetings, observing sessions and other various activities.
  • Low membership fee, includes the family.
  • Discount on Sky and Telescope magazine.
